When you see celebrities photos plastered across magazines; in their romantic, creative, dramatic, and city chick fashion styles; when you see them in their different body silhouettes, do you ever wonder, what were they thinking?
What goes on in the inside of a person is the expression of what you see on the outside and I am intrigued to find out more about celebrities fashion sense and trends in this regard. This week I have chosen to start with +Estelle.
+Estelle Fanta Swaray commonly known as Estelle, is an English R&B singer-songwriter, rapper and record producer. Estelle got her break from “Deal Real” as her co-workers encouraged her to sing on-stage. Her performance led to gigs.
Her career got a jump-start in the early 2000s when she happened to see Kanye West sitting in a restaurant while on a trip to Los Angeles. Estelle approached Kanye, introduced herself and asked for an introduction to John Legend. She eventually got that introduction, and Legend eventually helped produce two songs on her debut album.
Estelle is trendy yet stylish, she has a mind of her own and is not afraid to showcase her love for prints and patterns. Though a natural lean column silhouette, which means she has the right body proportions to pull off certain styles; she wears her ensembles to create an illusion of a lean hourglass silhouette.
One thing that really caught my eyes is the story Estelle tell without opening her mouth to speak it but with her love for certain style, fabrics and shades. I think she is also telling the story, “I have not forgotten my African root where I originally came from and I appreciate the prints and patterns that stemmed from that end”
I could be wrong with this statement and I could be very right but if I was wrong, then I would love to hear from you, what you think Estelle’s style, patterns and prints says about her personality and about her story.
